Doug, a fellow undergrad in lab. The guy who first welcomed me to Cambridge
the day I arrived
So my first days in America began about 2 weeks ago now. Boston. To be more exact, Cambridge, Masachusettes. (I hope that's the correct spelling)
Yes, I got a digital camera, finally. It's a Pentax Optio S55 (see a review of it here). Cheap ($220), and with a large LCD screen, and with a 'record sound over photo' mode. I like it. The memory card arrives in a few days, so been taking photos with the built-in tiny 11mb camera memory.
What I don't get about America is the way there are so many American flags everywhere. I mean it--just hanging in the building, in the underground stations, and huge ones too. They love their flag. I suppose they need that extra 'national identity' thing.
