The right questions

The question is not: Will she make me happy?
but: Will she make me want to become a better man?

The question is not to please as many women,
but: Are you man enough to wait long enough to
give the greatest pleasure to that one woman?

The question is not: Am I good enough to be married?
but: Am I good enough to remain single?

The question is not: Am I holy enough?
but: Am I holy enough to realize that I am the worst sinner?

For the one who is least childish
is the one who is least afraid to be childlike.

Lately I've been frequenting the local
I went on the cemetery tour and asked
the tour guide why so many of the gravestones
don't have an epitaph--unfortunate, since I rather liked
reading these concise 'life in a nutshell' statements
and gleaning what little wisdom that I could from them.

He also didn't know why that was the case,
but instead he brought me to this tombstone:

What A Woman indeed.
